Learning Technology Quickstart for Faculty

The primary mission of Educational Technology Services (ETS) is to support faculty and other instructors in integrating technology into their teaching. Most services in support of courses are free of charge.

Learning Spaces

Find out if your classroom is equipped with technology

  • Use ETS’ online “Room Info” guide to determine whether your classroom is equipped with the technology you need.

If the “Room Info” guide indicates that your classroom has installed technology

If the “Room Info” guide indicates that your classroom does not have the installed technology you need

  • Use ETS’ online reservation system, av.berkeley.edu, to reserve projectors, DVD players, VCRs, laptop computers and more.

Learning Systems

Collaborate with bSpace

  • bSpace allows you to post course materials, promote student communication via discussion groups, send email, post announcements, keep track of grades, and more.
  • To create a bSpace site, log in with your CalNet ID and Passphrase, then click My Workspace > Worksite Setup > New. You'll have your site in less than 5 minutes!

If you have specific questions or need to learn how to use the systems ETS supports

  • Visit the ETS Training and Support Center where you'll find various resources for learning on your own (FAQs, illustrated instructions, animated demonstrations, and other resources), as well as a link to our schedule of instructor-led workshops.
  • Fill out one of our Help Request Forms.
