CourseWeb

As of January 15, 2008, CourseWeb is retired. Please use bSpace to set up a site for your class.

Benefits of bSpace

  • Use only what you need: set up a simple bSpace site to communicate with students or explore the additional tools that will help support your teaching & learning activities.
  • Merge cross-listed classes: in bSpace, instructors can choose to create a single site with multiple rosters. In the case of cross-listed classes, this promotes efficiency and allows instructors to manage information in a single site instead of managing multiple sites.
  • Share space with co-instructors: since bSpace uses the official information from the Schedule of Classes, all instructors who are listed for a course have access to a site. For example, if Prof. Bear is teaching with Prof. Cub and Prof. Bear sets up the bSpace site, Prof. Cub automatically has access. No additional steps are needed.
  • Keep an archive of announcements: instructors who used CourseWeb often heard complaints from students who claimed they didn't receive email messages. In bSpace, all announcements are archived on the site and available for review at any time.
