What's New for Summer 2008

The Summer 2008 version of bSpace includes several new features, including:

My Active Sites

My Active Sites organizes all of your active sites under one tab for easy access.

TIP: To hide tabs or re-order tabs, go to My Workspace > Preferences > Customize Tabs.

New Gradebook Features

bSpace has a new Gradebook for Summer 2008. Several new features have been added, including:

  1. Categories and Weighting: Now, you have the option of organizing your gradebook by category and then weighting those categories.
  2. Uploading Grades: The gradebook now gives you more flexibility in how you manage your gradebook by allowing you to upload grades for existing gradebook items.
  3. Improved Gradebook and Student Views: It is now easier to view your gradebook in bSpace with an improved views for All Grades and a Student View to see the gradebook of individual students.


Reset passwords for non-UC Berkeley users

It is now easy for non-UC Berkeley guests of bSpace to be able to reset their password. Simply go to the Tools Menu and select Reset Password. After entering your email address, you will receive a message with your new password.

ATTENTION: UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff should see the IST article on resetting your CalNet passphrase.

Improved permission schemes in the Forums tool

It is now easier to configure Forums to control access to different forums and topics using preset Permission Levels. For more information see our How-To: Change Forum Permissions

Export results from Quiz & Survey

The Quiz & Survey tool now has the ability to Export Results. If you have used Quiz & Survey in the past, you can even download the results of your historical quizzes or surveys.
