Webcasting and Event Package Information

Webcast production involves audio-video capture (videotaping), followed by encoding into RealMedia, and finally hosting on the RealServer. To request equipment or services, please go to our online reservation system: av.berkeley.edu. After filling out and submitting the form you will be contacted by our event coordinator.

A basic production package includes a single camera and microphone run by one tech, encoding into RealMedia, and hosting. The tape is archived in our library. Statistics on how many views your webcasts are getting are available upon request. Additional services are charged on an á la carte basis. For example, multiple speakers usually necessitates additional microphones and staff to manage the audio.
