Videoconferencing

Our highly-customizable video conference facility accommodates a variety of needs and is available to the UC Berkeley campus and the community at large.  Video conferences can be arranged with sites around the world.  Our technician will perform a test prior to the date of the video conference and operate the equipment in the room to insure a trouble free, successful connection.

  • Distance learning
  • Guest lecturers
  • Job interviews
  • Remote collaborations
  • Administrative meetings
  • Multimedia presentations

UC Berkeley's commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions puts a spotlight on video conferencing.  This method of communication saves time and money as well as alleviates the environmental impact caused by long distance travel.  A recent article in the Berkeleyan outlines the role video conferencing plays on campus.  Click on these links to read the Berkeleyan article or to learn more about the UCB CalCAP program.
