Instructional Support

The Instructional Support team within ETS trains, teaches, and leads UC Berkeley instructors and staff on bSpace and other technologies that enrich teaching and learning experiences across campus. The services we provide include:

• Standard workshops on bSpace tools
  We offer several out-of-the-box workshops throughout the semester on topics that are relevant to your teaching and collaboration needs, especially thoe that arise at the start of the semester. You can find out more information on and sign up for these workshops on this website or on the bSpace Gateway.

• Custom workshops
  Is there a group of people in your department who have common teaching goals and technology questions? We also give customized bSpace workshops--in our teaching lab or in your department--tailored to the needs of your department and discipline. These are free of charge for academic departments. Please give us a call at 642-8596.

• Consultations
  We conduct one-off consultations to address your specific technology needs. As well, our Teaching Enrichment Program is designed to support you in your understanding and implementation of technology (including bSpace and other technologies) for the betterment of teaching. Each semester, we have the capacity to support 3-6 faculty members in this program. Contact us if you're interested.

• Reliable, personable support for bSpace questions and user issues
  Our Support staff respond to bSpace and webcast questions or problems from 8:30 am-5pm every business day. We promise a prompt turnaround via our online ticketing system, and are also available by phone and on a drop-in basis.

• Drop-in office hours
  Our team is located in room 5, opposite the ETS Faculty Lab. Come by if you have a bSpace or teaching & technology question. Our staff will try to help you however we can.

• Organization/hosting of showcases and brown-bags
  In the past, we have held showcases and brown-bag lunches focused on specific technology solutions. Look for our events this year on this new web site.
