VGA Adapter for Mac Display

A Mac VGA adapter is required to connect to a VGA cable in order to display the computer through a data projector. There are several different types of adapters that correlate to specific models of Macintosh laptops.

  • DVI - 1st Ed. Silver MacBook Pro, and 15” & 17” PowerBook G4
  • Mini DVI - 1st Ed. Black or White MacBook, and 12” PowerBook G4
  • Micro–DVI - 1st Ed. MacBook Air
  • Mini–VGA  -  iBook G4
  • Mini–Display -  2008 Ed. of the White MacBook, Black/Silver MacBook Pro, and MacBook Air

Educational Technology Services does not provide Mac adapters for loan. These can be purchased at the Cal Student Store in the Martin Luther King Jr. Building at the corner of Bancroft Way and Telegraph Ave. Mac adapters can also be purchased online through the Apple website.

Before purchasing please be sure that you have consulted your Mac laptop owners manual to determine the appropriate VGA adapter.
