Display a Mac Laptop
-
Turn on the data projector
-
Let the projector warm up until the On light stops blinking
-
Securely connect all cables including Mac VGA adapter (make sure VGA cable does not have bent pins). Click here for information on Mac Adapters
-
Turn on the Mac laptop
-
If you do not see your desktop on the screen once the laptop has fully booted up, click on System Preferences (under the Apple icon)
-
Click on Displays
-
Set the resolution to 1024x768 60-75Hz
-
Click on Detect Displays
If you see the background of your desktop project without your desktop icons, your laptop is treating the projector as an extended monitor. To mirror your desktop image click on Arrangement Tab. At the bottom left corner click to select Mirror Displays
* Some laptops need to be restarted after changing the settings for the new settings to take effect.
