How are courses chosen to be video or audio podcast?

webcast.berkeley/courses utilizes automated systems to record and distribute course lectures on the web. We have podcast systems deployed in 40+ classrooms around campus. Approximately 2 - 4 weeks prior to the start of each semester, lecturers who are scheduled to teach in a podcast capable classroom are invited to participate in webcast.berkeley.

Lecturers invited to have their courses webcast can “opt-in” to the program by simply using the webcast approval tool within bSpace (UC Berkeley's online communication and collaboration system for courses).
