What are UC Berkeley course/event webcasts?

Every semester, UC Berkeley podcasts audio and video of select courses and campus events for on-demand viewing via the Internet.

Course lectures on webcast.berkeley are provided at the discretion of the instructors. Video of campus events on webcast.berkeley provide a great opportunity to look through a window into UC Berkeley's rich intellectual environment. Though webcast.berkeley began by making courses available primarily for students, we welcome our large public viewing audience.

The video and audio made available to students is in no way a replacement for the campus experience and watching online is not sanctioned as a substitute for classroom attendance.
