ETS goes HD!

ETS has completed the first phase of its migration into High-Definition (HD) video acquisition, editing and delivery.

We now support recording to a variety of HD formats on Panasonic P2 HD solid state media cards - no more tape!

To support the new format, we added realtime HD editing and playback capabilities with the AJA Io HD video processor.  AJA provides 10-bit hardware-based up-conversion, cross-conversion, and down-conversion — all performed in realtime.  Io HD supports Apple’s ProRes 422 codec in hardware, enabling true 10-bit video editing in 4:2:2 quality.

We are also formatting HD content for online delivery via YouTube and other channels.  Check out some recent HD posts by our partners.

Future phases of our migration are planned to include multicamera HD switching in our studio and support for Blu-Ray Disc mastering.
